Saturday 23rd January - Fly Tying Open Day

After the amazing attendance at our November show we are having a repeat on
Sat 23rd January. Returning are Paul Little and Dylan Hooley, who will be dressing a range of classic salmon patterns.

 

Salmon & Trout Magazine photographer, contributor and fly-tyer Rob Denson, will be showcasing his range of innovative threadless buzzers, modern stillwater and river patterns.
Blogger and “North Country Angler”  Matt Eastham will be discussing and demonstrating a range of freestone river patterns especially for northern rivers.



Salmon & Trout Magazine contributor, author and fly-tyer Robert L Smith will be on hand to talk about his critically acclaimed book ‘The North Country Fly’  whilst also demonstrating the tying of a range of  modern and traditional North Country wet flies as well as a series of classic American dry fly patterns.

Professional fly-fishing guide, recognized entomologist and tutor with The Riverfly Partnership, Stuart Crofts will be tying a range of his original river fly patterns as well as discussing the importance of entomology when designing successful fly patterns for both trout and grayling.
Regulars from the Leeds Branch of the Fly Dressers Guild  Jerry Lee & Melvyn Wood will also be on hand to demonstrate a range of successful fly patterns, including traditional lough, river and stillwater flies.

Local angler and fly-tyer Ricky Varley will also be demonstrating the tying of a range of pike and saltwater fly pattern.
