The long translucent fibres of the Icelandic sheep not only make this material excellent for saltwater and pike patterns, but also it can be used in the Templedog type salmon flies. The creative fly tyer will find many uses for this material. It will make really quick and simple baitfish patterns, with its natural taper and soft underfur that makes it hold its shape in the water.
